The 1936 Soviet Constitution
Interesting reading. Though there are major differences, the Chinese constitution is still heavily based on this document.

As of this writing, the file [the definitions plist file which new downloads are checked against] contains only two definitions: the OSX.RSPlug.A Trojan Horse, first discovered in 2007, and the OSX.iService malware embedded in the pirated iWork installer mentioned earlier.
It sure is great to be a Mac user.
Despite being a minor step, it’s still good to see Apple taking the initiative on maintaining OS X’s security advantage. Given that a large majority of the reason Apple is so virus-free is the relatively small market share they occupy, I’ve recently come to believe that Apple should focus much more on consolidation and not quite as much on growth and increasing their market share. Though I realize it is a business, I think there’s a lot to be said for flying under the radar and by doing so, avoiding a lot of the malware that plagues Windows systems.
One of the two major mobile phone companies in China (the other being China Mobile) as apparently agreed a deal with Apple to sell the iPhone in China beginning in late 2009.
As a current iPhone user in China, this is very interesting news. I’m currently on an unlocked iPhone with a China Mobile SIM card, and I’ve been happy with my experience so far. When China Unicom does roll this out, however, I’m looking forward to seeing if there will be any added features that will make me want to “go legal.”
Regardless, this is exciting news for Apple people in China.

I love this opinion format from the NYTimes. The way they collect a number of expert viewpoints on an issue and present them all in one article like this is just excellent.

A very interesting discussion of a punctuation mark that I know I’ve avoided a lot in my writing just because I didn’t feel I completely knew how to use it. I think it’s time to get over the fear.
